EAA Special Event Station Sign-up to Close on 05/14/2018

May
10

The EAA 2018 Special Event Station sign up had been scheduled to close on
5/07/2018. It is an unpublished fact that for 2018 the ARRL will have a presence
in Hanger "B" at Airventure 2018. We will have a 70cm radio link established
between the two sites, and personal interaction between them is anticipated also.

To accommodate the ARRL I am letting sign up stay open until 5/14/2018
accordingly, as there are currently a few shift openings still left open. This
will allow any additional ARRL members to sign on.

Repeater Changes

May
04

There has been a couple of changes made to the 146.76 and 145.33 repeaters.
Both have been updated to DR-2X Yaesu System Fusion. The reason is it will give greater remote control of both systems.

The Repeater Committee recently proposed that the 145.33 repeater be operated in Fusion digital only to promote the technology. The FCARC Board agreed and it was voted on during the March meeting.
