This Sunday, August 25th, we will be having a Brat Fry at the Festival Foods on Green Bay Road in Neenah.

Volunteers are welcome. Please bring a hat and a lawn chair. We are starting at 8:30 am.

The Brat Stand will run from early morning (some people like brats for breakfast) until about 5 pm.

Stop by and enjoy some good food.

The Fond Du Lac County ARES group has been given permission to use the 146.76 Repeater for the annual Race The Lake event, August 25, 2019 from 5 am to 3 pm. Unless you are providing communications for this event avoid using the 146.76 repeater during that time.

The 145.33 repeater will be operating analog and digital during that event for your communications needs. Other available area repeaters are 443.65,and 442.175 both 100.0 Hz CTCSS.

The next Ham Exam date is Saturday, September 7, 2019.
Exams are held at the Fox Valley Technical College, room B142. Use entrance door 12 on the west side of the building. Walk-ins are welcomed. Registration begins at 8 am and ends at 9 am. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated because of limited room time. A pictured government issued I.D. is required. Please see the ARRL.org license information for other forms of acceptable I.D.

The FCARC annual corn roast is coming up on Saturday August 17. We will be starting at 11:00 am , back at Sunset Park in Kimberly. Please bring a dish to pass. The club will provide burgers, brats, corn and sodas. We expect to eat about noon time.

For those unfamiliar with Sunset Park, there is a map attached to the Google Calendar post on the website.

Most likely we will have a couple radios set up in addition to a fox hunt.

The Repeater Committee has announced that it is looking for good, technically minded, hams to join the committee. Rick mentioned this at the July general membership meeting that there is always room for technically minded folk to join. Starting on Monday July 22 through Sunday July 28 2019 the W9ZL EAA Airventure Special Event Station will be on the air. We will be operating from 1300 UTC to 2030 UTC Monday through Saturday, and 1300 UTC to 1700 UTC on Sunday July 28 2019. We will be operating on 14,270, 7,250 and 50,150.
