2016 FCARC Ham Exams

January 30, 2016 will be the first VE test of the new year. It will also be the first exam held at our new testing location.

After many years holding the exams at the Red Cross building In Appleton we had to look for a new location when they decided to close the Appleton office and sell the building. Donna, KC9THF, was able to get us a room at FVTC. FVTC is located near
Interstate 41 and Northland Ave.(county highway OO).

The room number is B142. The closest entrance is door 12 located on the west side of the building. Here is the address to the FVTC web site where you can click on a link for the room location and a map to the school.

The exam dates for 2016 are,
January 30
March 5
May 7
July 9
September 3
The November session will be held at the FCARC Swap Fest.

Registration is from 8 to 9 am. We only have the room until 11 am so we will not be able to accommodate late arrivals.
You must have two forms of ID available.
If you will be upgrading it is important to bring a paper copy of your current license. We can not provide copies for you!
Our VEC, the ARRL, sets the fee at $15 cash or check. Checks are to be made out to the ARRL. A failed exam can be retaken, time permitting, but you will be charged another $15.
Cell phone use is not permitted during the exam and must be turned off or silenced. Calculators are allowed but programmable calculator memories must be cleared. A VE will inspect all calculators.

Successful first license candidates will receive a one year membership to the FCARC. Ask an exam volunteer for an application.
